The Pagan Clans

The Pagan Clans have given themselves a rebirth through war. Having been invaded by the Emperor of Bretsgard they banded together for the first time in history and not only repulsed the invaders but also took all of Bretsgard's eastern coastal provinces. Which opened up unprecedented trade with the Eastern Nations. However this new found prosperity and territorial gains have given rise to a movement within the Clans. A movement that points to what was accomplished through unity and that full centralization should be enacted. The problem with this is that no one can agree who should be the King of Chieftains.

Government: It would be impossible to list all of the governmental structures that are possessed by the Clans. However the majority follow a patriarchy while some do follow a Matriarchy.

Military: Most Clans almost exclusively use infantry to devastating effect though some Clans are renowned for turning mere ponies into war horses. Also, it appears that a type of navy is beginning to form amongst the clans who gained the eastern coastal provinces.

Society: Once again it would be impossible to catalog the societal structures of the literally hundreds of clans. However the majority tend towards a might-makes-right mentality. While some are more diplomatic and spiritual. Though one should not doubt the martial capability of the latter.
